Welcome to Electronics

Between the human brain and the Processing Unit of a computer lies a universe of components assembled into circuitry designed to carry out functions that affect our daily lives.  As electrical gadgets and electricity itself becomes more and more important, understanding the components that control electrons allows a greater understanding of the world around us.  Electronics manufacturing is one of the fastest growing industries in New Zealand and new branches of electrical engineering are starting all the time.

Electronics and Electromechanics will give the student a head start into electrical engineering and solid-state physics as well as a basic knowledge for entering the workforce.  The fun and sense of control that comes from powering lights, motors, robots and more is what all electronics is about.
